Rising Sun: A Cyberpunk Thriller (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798337746678)

Welcome to the MOST RAIN DRENCHED CYBERPUNK novel of EVERMORE: CYBERPUNK FLAMES

Let the sun rise on the boy and girl who would be saviors of the city and saviors of themselves!

Let the sun flame on the Queen of the City who ignores propriety and prophecy as she hunts down those who.

Let the sun scorch those who have visions of darker things & who have darker means.

And let the sun bless those who find this story in their hands. And their eyes on the prize.

Is no less than this:

Eternal Flames.

The good kind.

Let's hope.

To Hope.

THIS IS THE STORY:

In a ruined cyberpunk city [after the great hack!], ruled by the evil conglomerates, oilers and sheiks: Kayla, an ex-tattoo artist trying to cement her legend in the gladiator-like Games of New Eden, entertaining rich and poor alike, and an underground street racer named Jack are facing their worst demons when their worlds get turned upside-down. With powerful people out to kill them, Kayla and Jack must find the heart of the city, or die trying.

And they just might be the key to RESTORING the once-thriving coin-op city.

It's time to rage into the unknown of the NEON STREETS and GO DEEP into THE DEEP, yes?

It all starts here.

TOKENS REQUIRED.

I love that I get to share this story with you. Of course, it isn't finished. This is the first of TWO BOOKS.

I set out to write this book in 2021. I told myself to write a short and simple novel. And I wanted to write it fast, within one week if possible. Many thousands and thousands of words a day. Fast-paced and deadly. Well now it's 2024 and I barely put the last words to the story two or so months ago.

So much for a one-week write.

But I'm glad for what it's become.

I lost the thread of the story time and time again and had to redraft it and redraft it.

And a curious thing happened on my final draft: the story began to carry me. That's when I knew I'd found it. It was easy to begin each day. I didn't have to think - I only had to focus on finding the right words.

I didn't have to write the story.

I only had to find it.

And everyday I wrote it was a joy.

In that vein and skein and sentiment and sentimint (a sentient mint, I think),

I wrote it because I love neon-drenched rain and drenched-rain streets and those sharp falling droplets pinging off of corrugated metal and all kinds of metal.

And I like metal music.

And I like characters who WANT THINGS BADLY.

And who are willing to give their all. So.

MAY YOU ENJOY. And may you RISE.LIKE THE SUN!

And join the chorus of the eternal flames which are crashing down and through.

Even.

Right.

Now.
