Donn Byrne (1889-1928) was an Irish-American author known for his romantic and often lyrical writing style. He wrote novels, short stories, and poetry, often focusing on themes of Irish culture, history, and nationalism. His works typically blended folklore with a sense of nostalgia for Ireland's past. Some of his well-known novels include Messer Marco Polo and The Wind Bloweth. Byrne was celebrated for his ability to evoke the charm and mysticism of Ireland, although he lived much of his life in the United States.
