Rock Bottom Built My Foundation: My Comeback Story (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798950677489)

What do you do when you've lost everything and it's entirely your fault?

Matt Vick knows that feeling better than most.

He grew up in the streets of the Bay Area, fell deep into drug addiction, and spent years making every wrong decision available to him. He dealt drugs. He robbed people. He was homeless, sleeping in stolen cars, and ended up on the Alameda County Most Wanted list. He had burned every bridge he'd ever built, and he'd built a lot of them just to watch them burn.

By thirty-four years old, he had nothing left.

And that's exactly where his story gets interesting.

Rock Bottom Built My Foundation is the raw, unfiltered true story of a man who lost everything and refused to stay down. From a Salvation Army rehabilitation program where he earned eleven dollars a week hanging other people's old clothes on racks, to building Sonoma Strong Hauling and Junk Removal into a multi-million dollar business. From answering his first business call with nothing but "hi" and a prayer - to standing on a stage in front of four hundred people who flew in from across the country to hear how he did it.

You'll read about the moment he stepped on a cigarette butt and felt it burn through the hole in the bottom of his shoe and didn't even flinch. The Christmas parking lot where he stood holding a gift for his son and watched their taillights disappear. The jail cell he shared with his own brother. The deli counter where he burned a chicken wrap for the woman he'd been praying for, and somehow got a second chance anyway.

This book was written for the person hanging on by a thread right now. The one who just got out of rehab and doesn't know if they can make it. The one who lost their marriage, their job, their home, and their sense of self. The one who keeps getting counted out and is starting to wonder if it's even worth getting back up.

It was written for that person. Because Matt Vick was that person.

And he has one thing to say to you before you turn the first page:

Your current situation is not your final destination.
