Most kids in high school struggle to make their own maths notes. The hand outs and text books are too detailed, the teacher talks them through an idea but leaves the distillation of the idea to them and it all becomes a bit overwhelming. In my teaching I have always created clear and concise notes for my students that summarize the concepts they have to learn as succinctly as possible. So much so that when I left my London school for Australia a few of my students asked me to email them my board notes. In creating access to my notes for my old students I realised that while digital resources are good, there is nothing as effective as holding a book in your hand.
