Karen Claridge Walker is the granddaughter of the title characters, Rufus Blandford and Lillian Burkhardt. Karen is a serious amateur genealogist and family history sleuth. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, and has lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Honolulu, Hawaii, and, currently, Dallas, Texas. She is married and has two children and one granddaughter. Karen won first place in the 2012 Dallas Genealogical Society writing contest with her article, "Francis A. Claridge (1824-1887)," published in the premier issue of Pegasus, Journal of the Dallas Genealogical Society in 2013. She has written other articles and published transcriptions of historical records. Lillian E. Moore is Karen's sister and a history buff. She lives in Boldtville Community and has two sons. She is completing a Bachelor's degree in business and wrote "A History of Boldtville Community" as part of a college history course. It was originally published online in 2006.
