Kimberly Meehan (nee Handle) was born and raised in a small town on the north shore of Long Island, New York. However, after spending 17 years of her adult life in Brooklyn, she considers the county of the Kings to be her hometown. Kim is known for being both passionate, pushy, and having the professional attention span of a gnat. She is a failed rock climber and a terrible drummer. However, she has found success as an Irish Step Dancer, having danced at Radio City Music Hall at the age of 15. She is an accomplished painter, having majored in fine arts in her undergraduate studies at Hunter College in New York. She has also published several dry, jargon-filled articles on her scientific obsessions, the paleoecology of Cambrian Burgess-Shale type fossils and the methane-cold seeps assemblages of the Late Cretaceous Western Interior Seaway, following her Master's in Geology at Brooklyn College and Ph.D. in Paleoecology at the CUNY Graduate Center, respectively. A recent life change has brought her to Buffalo, New York, where she has jumped into her next endeavor telling tales and reminiscing about the characters she met in the neighborhoods back in Brooklyn.
