Prior to entering full-time ministry, he worked in the banking industry for over twenty years, rising to the level of Assistant Vice President of a major New York banking institution. Most recently he founded and chairs the Board of Directors for the first Charter School in Hempstead. "The Academy Charter School" has added a new dimension to the educational opportunities available in the Village of Hempstead, and Long Island as a whole. As a Community Leader, Pastor Goldson is passionate about empowering people and improving the community. As such, in 2006, he was appointed to serve on the Village of Hempstead Zoning Board. He has also received several awards and citations from Nassau County, The Town of Hempstead and The Village of Hempstead. Pastor Goldson can be described as a passionate and compassionate leader.
