Joan Conning Afman graduated from the University of Hartford Art School with a BFA in fine art. She taught art in the Hartford school system, then retired to sunny Florida. She keeps up her love for art by painting and exhibiting in local art shows, but also pursues her new found love of writing. "Sacrifice at Mystery Hill" is her fifth published novel.
