Sandstorm Creed: A Chris Cox Mission (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798274208109)

He came to the desert to die. He stayed to make others wish they hadn't.

Chris Cox buries his wife and six-year-old son on a rain-soaked Tuesday in Tennessee. The man who killed them over twelve dollars and a pack of gum is in custody. Justice is served. The case is closed.

But justice is a word Chris no longer speaks.

A decorated Green Beret with two tours in Afghanistan, Chris returns from war to find his family murdered, his faith shattered, and his future reduced to a single question: What now?

When Pastor Williams offers him an impossible mission, travel to Algeria and protect a persecuted Christian community facing annihilation, Chris doesn't go to save them. He goes because dying for something is better than living for nothing.

But the desert has other plans.

In the remote village of Tamelrik, Chris finds believers who won't run, a boy named Davi who carries grief like a second skin, and an enemy more dangerous than any he faced in Afghanistan. Jamal al-Ansari isn't just a local warlord, he's a sophisticated jihadi commander with training, resources, and a personal file on Chris Cox that includes his tactics, his weaknesses, and his breaking point.

As Chris trains the villagers to defend themselves, as he navigates the brutal mathematics of asymmetric warfare, as he discovers that faith under fire looks nothing like faith in comfortable churches, he faces a question more dangerous than any enemy:

Is he defending the innocent, or becoming the monster he once hunted?

Armed with a Sig Sauer and a communion kit, carrying a dead son's compass and enough rage to burn the world, Chris Cox forges a new creed in the crucible of the North African desert. One written in sand and blood. One defended with steel and Scripture. One that will earn him three names:

Ingem Porto to those who see him as a gateway to hope.
Al-Muhariq to those who fear the fire he brings.
The Firebearer to a Church that forgot what it costs to stand.

But Chris knows the truth: he's just a broken man learning that some things are worth dying for, which means they're worth living for too.

Perfect for readers who crave:
