About the Author
Ruth Sanderson's career as a professional illustrator spans 40 years, and she has illustrated over 85 books for children, including versions of The Twelve Dancing Princesses, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Goldilocks, and Papa Gatto. The BEAUTIFUL FAIRY TALES series of adult coloring books are based on Ruth's picture books. Ruth also illustrated a picture book version of THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS for children in 1997, and in 2017 she released a grayscale adult coloring book based on this artwork. Ruth is the co-director of the MFA in Children's Book Writing and Illustrating offered during summer terms at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
