Sapphic Island: The Dream Sequence (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798703522202)

"We all know the truth when we're young." Dreams aren't always aspirations that humanity strives for. Sometimes a vivid dream is a glimpse into the future. Children still have the audacity to believe their dreams can come true. The truth is, life is a combination of what you dream of and what you believe. Jadarah Carter's beliefs are evolving. After breaking up with her Vodun/Voodoo practicing girlfriend and a terrifying medical diagnosis, the life she knew changes dramatically. When a series of dreams begin to lead her into a healing journey, she doesn't want to believe what's happening.Life as a black lesbian is both liberating and traumatizing. The women in Jadarah's life are beautiful. Some of the women are seasonal and others came to teach her spiritual lessons. It's the women who teach her how to believe in herself and the dream sequence that pushes her to her greatest aspirations.
