FRIEDA KLEIN is a well-known artist who resides in Tahoe City, California at Lake Tahoe. She was born in Camden, New Jersey, and attended the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing. As an R.N. she worked on the Psychiatric ward where she met her husband Richard, a physician. They settled in Los Angeles where she assisted him with his 24-hour clinic. Frieda raised four children and eventually turned to her passion: Art. Within a short time she had many solo exhibits of her paintings in galleries and museums. She also creates jewelry and hand-painted clothing and furniture. Frieda teaches art privately to children and adults, and taught art for 12 years at Sierra Nevada College, in Incline Village, Nevada. While living in Los Angeles Frieda became close friends with the famous author Henry Miller who inspired her to write.
