Saving Art: There have been many advances in crime fighting technology, but none similar to what Detective Art Jankowski was allowed to draw from. He and his partner JW were the best of the best there in Morningwood, Mississippi; with a case closure rating well above any of the other detectives in the entire State. However, this all ended on that fateful day, when they both went down in a hail of bullets. Art lived, to say the least, but just couldn't get it together after that day. He and JW were more than just partners. These two men were actually closer than brothers. It was this fact and Art's inability to function outside a beer bottle, which brought his old partner back as a Jack Russell Terrier. However, no dog known to man still maintained the where-for-all of a trained master Detective, like Bill. DNA had been a great advancement in crime fighting technology; but a small spotted dog who could actually read the crime scene with his nose and track the guilty party was unreal. Art quickly regained his notoriety as being practically a god when it came to solving crimes. Then the day came when he was saddled with a new rookie partner, who just happened to be the Governor's favorite nephew. Events were really set into play at that time for Art and Bill to work major crimes for a little known group, who secretly referred to themselves as being The Gray Area. Up to this point this group consisted of psychics and all manner of questionable crime fighting techniques; but it did not include a small spotted dog specifically trained as a detective.

Douglas Tennant was born in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1951 in an air force hospital to a primarily French mother and a very Scottish father. The oil field was in his family's blood and he too went to work there after getting a Masters Degree in Chemistry. Douglas worked as the Technical Director for a midsized Acidizing and Fracturing Company in Pampa, Texas. After the oil field all but went away in the early 1980s, he followed his heart and entered into Law Enforcement for the next eighteen years. Presently he is contracted on with a major pipeline company and handles all of their internal corrosion issues. Douglas has always liked any type of adventure story that he could read or watch, and most often saw how he would change the story line to make it even more exciting. Before long he was carrying entire stories around in his head and needed to put pen to paper, digitally. Early on he found that female heroines were far more interesting and his emotions poured forth. Already being a fairly emotional person, he found that it would take him an entire box of tissue to get a complete story down. With several books written, he presently has six on Amazon.com.
