He completed his doctorate at Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Health Institutions Management. He served in the Turkish Armed Forces for twenty-four years.

Hayat Yalın is an Assistant Professor of Faculty of Health Sciences at Bahçeşehir University. She obtained her nursing license from the İstanbul University Florence Nightingale Nursing School, her master's degree from İstanbul University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, and her doctoral degree from Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing.
