Barbara L. Daniels Phillips was born three miles north of Kinsley, KS on her grandparent's farm on a snowy January day. Her great-grandparents journeyed across the prairie in 1876 on the Santa Fe Trail. They homesteaded north of Kinsley, KS. During her childhood she lived in various towns in Kansas. Barbara attended schools in Kansas. She has a BA in Education from Fort Hays Kansas State University and a MA in Language Arts from Wichita State University. She also attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS and Stanford University in CA. For many years Barbara taught Language Arts in the Kansas public school system and one year at a private military school. She also coordinated, directed, and taught at a community college outreach center in eastern Kansas. Barbara and her husband moved to Florida and have flourished in the warmer winter weather. They like to travel to see the world, when possible. Barbara enjoys billiards and playing cards. She writes daily. Barbara is a member of the Writers' League of the Villages. She writes under the names: B. L. Phillips, Barbara Phillips and B. L. Daniels. Barbara has written and published 6 novels: four in the Space Darlings Series and two in the Blue Wizard's Quest. The third volume of the Blue Wizard's Quest will be out in 2015.
