My purpose is to not only spark discussion and thought-provoking dialect in each household but to spark the fire in our people to heal ourselves so we can start to unite again. The black culture has been dealing with underlying illnesses too long because we don't discuss why we choose to go our separate ways. This book aims to bridge the gap that causes us all more pain, young and old because we feel we are not on the same team anymore. A bridge collapsed can always be repaired. Hence, we must identify each factor that has worn us down. This book aims to be a step towards our road to recovery.
