In spite of their efforts, they find themselves battling unknown enemies who learn of their discoveries. Henry grew up in the coastal region of North Carolina, where he learned to respect the ecologically balanced, yet fragile rivers and estuaries of eastern North Carolina. Much of the book "Secotan" takes place in these rich and pristine waters. By writing "Secotan", Henry hopes to raise the reader's awareness of the environmental and economic perils of our addiction to oil. Secotan is his first novel, and he is currently working on a sequel. Much of the sequel will be set on the Island of Ambergris, Belize which is one of his favorite scuba diving destinations. By way of background, Henry is a graduate of East Carolina University and the Wake Forest University School of Law. He is currently a senior partner in the Martindale Hubbell AV-rated law firm Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham. With offices in Asheville and Raleigh the firm of 40 attorneys specializes in various civil litigation practice areas throughout North Carolina. When Henry isn't in the courtroom, he enjoys scuba diving, sailing, fishing, and reading. He and his wife Kathryn, and their faithful pound dog Bonnie live on Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
