Secrets at Lake Talisa (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798232665241)

When Adelia Featherstone's family situation takes a heartbreaking turn, she meets a psychic through a friend and has her first tarot card reading. She is told about spirit mediums, the supernatural, and other things that leave twelve-year-old Adelia mystified. Soon after, she finds herself in a curious new place for the summer. Her life becomes entwined with new people, an idyllic farm with animals all around, and a small lakeside town nearby-famous for stories of UFOs and alien encounters. Strange things happen, and through mishaps and adventure, she plots and struggles to pull the pieces of her life together. And she discovers the deep connection Lake Talisa has to her past and to a world beyond her wildest imagination. Through synchronicity and Adelia's curiosity, she finds hidden truths and unearths a devious secret her grandmother buried long before. All the while, she carries the burden of the secret she swore never to tell, and resents the impact her grandmother's secret had on their family. But then, she must face a crucial decision. After enticing her new friend, Landon, into entering a forbidden place, they meet a boy they can only help if they keep a secret of their own.
