Seven Reasons why I am NOT a Pentecostal or Charismatic: Presented with Love (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798278205791)

Seven reasons why the author is not a Pentecostal or charismatic are explained lovingly and objectively from the Bible:
First: The Pentecostal-charismatic doctrine of baptism in the Spirit is unbiblical.
Second: The Pentecostal-charismatic teaching on speaking in tongues is unbiblical
Third: The Pentecostal-charismatic teaching on healing is unbiblical
Fourth: The Pentecostal-charismatic overemphasis on emotion instead of the Word of God is unbiblical
Fifth: Occult phenomena are found in a number of Pentecostal-charismatic churches
Sixth: The charismatic movement relativizes the truth and promotes an unbiblical ecumenical movement
Seventh: A great deception, not a great revival, is predicted for the end times

The author, Dr. theol. Lothar Gassmann, was himself a member of a Pentecostal church for a time and knows many Pentecostals and charismatics as serious and committed Christians. Nevertheless, he has urgent questions for this influential movement and explains why he cannot join it. In doing so, he argues exclusively from the Bible.
