Nan Tynberg is a retired adjunct professor in the English department of a Cal State University satellite campus where she taught for more than twenty-five years. Her published writings to date have been articles and chapters in scholarly journals. She earned a Master's Degree in Italian Literature from Case Western Reserve University in 1972 and a Doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Riverside in 1984. She and her husband reside in Rancho Mirage, California
