As a hospice chaplain, Rev. Dr. Carla Cheatham also knows what it means to walk through personal grief. With an MA in Psychology, a Masters of Divinity, a Ph.D. in Health and Kinesiology, and certification in trauma therapy, she is a national speaker and provides training to professional caregivers, teaching them to be genuinely present with suffering, others' and our own. Carla is the Section Leader for the Spiritual Caregivers Section of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and an Adjunct Professor for the Seminary of the Southwest, where she teaches chaplaincy and pastoral care students about end of life care.
