He thought the house next door was empty.

Until Miranda appeared one dark night.

Beautiful. Mesmerizing. Impossible to ignore.

Later, when she knocks on his door asking for help with her hot water system, it feels like fantasy stepping into reality. He follows her without hesitation.

He should have hesitated, taken more notice.
Miranda opens the basement door and... he plummets to the floor.

He wakes chained to a basement wall. Other men hang in the shadows. The air reeks of decay.

Then he hears it-

Clip. Clop.

Miranda returns.

Only now her beauty has split open to reveal something ancient. Fangs. Hooves. Hunger.

Miranda is Baobhan Sith.

And she's starving.
