Sikes: Misconstrued (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798355173210)

They say youth is wasted on the young - Valleys boy Simon Ikes may just be about to prove them right.... In Sikes: Misconstrued, William S. Allin takes lad lit to a new level in his no-holds-barred account of lust, laughs and rites of passage in the South Wales Valleys. For anyone who's still squirming at the jackass decisions their hormone-addled teenage brain lead them into, this book is a potent reminder that it wasn't just you! The novel is the first in a series following the fortunes of a trio of likely lads from Aberdare. Right from the start, you know you're amongst friends as young Simon Ikes fumbles his way through dating disasters, family misunderstandings and first job nightmares. Will he navigate his way through the tangled path to adulthood, getting the golden girl and the dream job? Or will a moment of misinformed violence lead him right into self destruction? South Wales has been developing a big reputation for wry, tell-it-like-it-is humour in recent years - Sikes: Misconstrued doesn't disappoint.
