Sink Deep, Rise Higher: Fly High, Sink Deeper Book II (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798325470479)

Maria Lucia Carlena has had a very strange year. The strangest of her life. From fighting an evil empress on her medieval homeworld, to living aboard a starship with her new girlfriend, the evil empress herself, and her best friend. To being wanted by the Federal Interstellar Commission for terrorism. The universe is larger than Maria could have ever imagined, and scarier than she'd ever dreamed. Yet there is beauty in all its darkness. Maria has found love, friendship, and hope. She's found Niarith and Lolanene, her new family.

Together, they've hatched a plan to escape the clutches of the interstellar government. They must travel into the far reaches, beyond FIC borders. Accomplishing this will require fuel, funding, and a lot of luck. They may find that even the best laid plans can fall apart.

Meanwhile, the former empress Mirideth plots in the shadows. Pulling the strings of events toward her own wicked whims. What is she planning? What does she intend? How far will she go to achieve her mysterious goals?

Such questions can only be answered by time. Time that may just be running out...
