Currently his research program focuses on deciphering the molecular and cellular processes/pathways involved in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders. Further, he is also interested in neuropharmacological and neurotoxicological studies to screen or identify various bioactive molecules for effective prevention of neurodegenerative diseases and hypertension-induced neurodegeneration.
