Smart Money Skills For Kids: Leo & Kiki Money Quest, A Financial Adventure Workbook (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9782839950282)

My 8-year-old niece was on the phone with her dad, explaining the board game we were playing.

"I have a loan I need to pay back. I'm buying a flat. I need to get a car next. I'm about to win!"

My brother laughed. "That sounds like you're describing my life."

Exactly. That's the point.

I bought that board game to teach her what I learned around 7-8: money is choices. Earning, spending, saving, waiting. Loans have consequences. Goals require plans.

She played for fun. She learned for life.

But here's the problem most parents face: You know your child needs to understand money. You want to teach them before bad habits form. But where do you start? What's age-appropriate? How do you explain digital money they never see? And honestly, how do you stop the constant "Can I have?" requests without feeling like the mean parent?

You're not alone in feeling this way.

Most parents avoid money talks because they don't have a plan. Or they try random YouTube videos and feel overwhelmed. Or they just repeat what their parents did (which wasn't great).

That's why I created Smart Money Skills For Kids: Leo & Kiki's Money Quest.

It's the board game turned into activities. The money lessons kids need, in language they understand. Through Leo & Kiki's adventure, your child discovers how money works, not through lectures, but through doing.

And you get the parent prompts that tell you exactly what to say.

Inside, children ages 6-9 will explore:

✓ What money is and how it works (including the digital money they can't see)

✓ How to earn through skills and effort (turning "Can I have?" into "How can I earn?")

✓ Smart spending decisions (needs, wants, or wait?)

✓ Saving with purpose (the three-jar system, goal ladders)

✓ Making choices they can be proud of

Why parents love it:

✓ No financial expertise required and parent prompts tell you exactly what to say

✓ 10-15 minute sessions that fit any schedule

✓ Works for real families, not just perfect ones

✓ Stops the begging cycle and kids learn to think before asking

✓ Modern examples: apps, digital payments, 2026 reality kids actually see

✓ Low-screen bonding time and conversations, not lectures

Perfect for home-school families, intentional parents, grandparents seeking meaningful gifts, and educators teaching life skills.

No finance degree needed. No awkward lectures. Just 10-15 minutes at a time, when it fits your schedule.

For parents who want to raise money-confident kids without the stress of figuring it out alone.
