So Money (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781452864792)

Most 16-year-olds don't have an all-access pass to money, power, girls, alcohol, and drugs. Meet the exception. SO MONEY follows Randall Crawford's drug- and booze-filled ride from Midwestern high school student to out-of-control teen celebrity. After Randall lands a Hollywood screen test through a twist of fate, he wins a starring role on a primetime television show. Randall then exchanges sleepy Lawrence, Kansas, for fast-paced Southern California - where his new life becomes way more exciting than he could've imagined. Randall quickly learns he's got the bank and connections to score whatever turns him on...but every dream has a price, and Randall begins to slide down a path toward self-destruction. With his television show a major hit, Randall's fame turns white-hot, feeding his appetite for reckless behavior with drugs, booze, and girls. A few people close to Randall - his crew back in Lawrence, a trusted Hollywood advisor - try to keep it real, warning him that his ego is spinning out of control. But the newly rich and famous teenager won't let anyone stop his pursuit of instant gratification...until a showdown with a trigger-happy drug dealer threatens to bring the partying to a permanent end. With an edgy "oh crap, what's gonna happen next!?" storyline and Judd Apatow-like toilet humor, SO MONEY is a cautionary tale readers will embrace.
