I wrote this book to give you a single, engineering driven path from the physics of crystals and bands to the way real semiconductor devices are analyzed, modeled, and designed. We start where performance is actually determined: lattice structure, reciprocal space, Bloch electrons, effective mass, density of states, phonons, and Fermi Dirac statistics.
