Ten more cases from the files of The Great Detective, comprising adventures previously published in the anthology 'The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories', as well as some recent additions from Doctor Watson's despatch box.

• Mrs Maria Blackwell is concerned by the threatening and persistent observations of a stranger, each time she dines at Simpson's with her husband.

• A client's brother appears to have been abducted, then returns as a complete stranger.

• A woman's husband has been lost at sea, yet still he visits her.

• Holmes receives a posthumous request, from a man who expected to be murdered.

• A doctor is distraught. His wife has left for a life of crime.

• The Great Detective is consulted when members of the government are assaulted and tattooed.
