The author is a special education teacher with a B.A. in Educational Studies, a M.S. in Special Education, and is working on her Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction. She is a horse trainer and instructor. This book is based upon a real Thoroughbred horse named Noble Winston, rescued by the author. The illustrator is an accomplished dressage rider who also has roots of harness racing in her native Finland. She holds a B.S. in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric/Adolescent Eating Disorders.
