Sorry, But ... I'm Different: I Am Not Chasing to Be Chosen (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798394105975)

The novel unfolds against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. Amid this global crisis, themes of class disparity, racial alienation, and the aching contradictions of desire come to the forefront. Set in today's AMERICA, BELGIUM, and CHINA.

Ahmed Olaoluwatomijogun, a Nigerian man, has always been overlooked and ignored by society until he finds himself entangled with Jacqueline, a Dutch American woman. As he risks everything to reunite with Chioma, a woman he admired fifteen years ago in secondary school, before relocating to San Francisco, chaos erupts across borders. U.S. virologists travel to Wuhan and uncover disturbing truths in a Chinese lab, while violence and blame spiral out of control.
In honor of George Floyd, the author of Cosmopolitan discusses the revolution of people who look like him, including where, how, and when they experience their first. He knows we will always be the ones to understand how it feels to walk every day in his shoes.
