Southern Justice is a real-world, gritty story about the dividing line between the Old South and the New South as it emerged from a hundred years of segregation with unintended consequences, spurred by the drug culture of 60's revolution. Set in the small rural plantation town of Bunkie, Louisiana ("Bumkin") between 1967 and 1969, at the very apex of court-ordered school integration, the Viet Nam War, and the 60's cultural revolution. The protagonist of Southern Justice is based on Dr. Sue Eakin A.K.A. "Sally Callahan" a diminutive (white) journalist, writer, integration activist and history professor who specialized in black history, long before anyone in Louisiana cared to understand why.
Sorry, the ending is just too good to spoil.
