Spelling Reform: From An Educational Point Of View (1878) (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781164826880)

Spelling Reform: From An Educational Point Of View is a book written by John Hall Gladstone in 1878. The book focuses on the need for spelling reform in the English language, particularly in the education system. Gladstone argues that the irregularities and inconsistencies in English spelling make it difficult for students to learn and for teachers to teach. He proposes a simplified spelling system that would be easier to learn and would improve literacy rates. The book also includes examples of the proposed spelling system and discusses the potential benefits and challenges of implementing such a reform. Overall, Spelling Reform: From An Educational Point Of View is a thought-provoking book that highlights the importance of spelling reform in improving education and literacy rates. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
