Fredrick Abraham Sawatzky was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on January 25th, 1951. His poetry has been published in Manitoba newspapers and worldwide in four poetry anthologies: 1) "Lyrical Voices: An International Poetry Anthology," 2) "Poetic Treasures, Past and Present" (which included works by such great poets as William Shakespeare, Walt Whitman, Edgar Allen Poe, etc.), 3) "Yearbook of Modern Poetry" and 4) "Twilight Musings." All were published in the U.S.A.

In 2000 he received 'The Shakespearean Award for Literary Excellence' for his poetry. He has performed on stages in halls, schools, and night clubs across Manitoba as a song writer and lead vocalist for two Manitoba-based rock bands, 'Abraham' and 'Westt'. In 1984 he recorded an album 'Another Love Tragedy' of ten original songs under the name of 'Abraham Jaymes' on the Sunshine Records label in Winnipeg.

His songs have been performed by other entertainers across western Canada. He has co-written many songs with other entertainers. He has also written journalism for a British Columbia newspaper.
