Standing Ourselves (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781720656425)

In Standing Ourselves, William McNeely (Mastery Level Resistance Training Specialist(R)) explains how we all live in accordance with a view of the world (i.e. world-view) - and truly understanding it establishes the character one will form in their heart, mind, soul, and strength. In this book, I'm reflecting upon the deeper meanings behind our standing. When we look at the world around us, it is natural to conclude that as humans - we were made to stand out. Our bodies are designed to interact very effectively within the creation around us.We were created to stand for a purpose.-------"In my 14 years as William's friend (8 of those years as business partners), it would be impossible to express the tremendous positive impact Will has had on my life. At Barbell Logic we often talk about the refining power of voluntary hardship as the greatest effect of strength training. That idea was heavily influenced from Will's first book, STRONG Willed, where he shows that we are created by God to be strong; spiritually, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and physically...In his second book, Standing Ourselves, William takes these foundational ideas and does a tremendous deep dive into the ethics, theology, and doctrine that make them TRUE. Will thoughtfully deconstructs the dichotomy between culture's shallow, aesthetics-perspective on physical training vs our deeper-calling to use our physical bodies as God intended; in order to glorify our Creator. The book is outstanding; a masterpiece on the role of our "physical character" here on earth...from an eternal perspective."- Matt Reynolds, Founder/ CEO Barbell Logic "Standing Ourselves greatly illustrates what is already shown in the way Will McNeely lives every aspect of his life. God gave us physical bodies for a reason and it is to His glory that we take care of the gift given. This book will increase your understanding, and in turn, grow your desire for action in living a healthy life."- Cooper Mitchell, Founder Garage Gym Reviews
