Lars van de Goor was born in 1964 on a houseboat in the middle of lush farmland, and here he grew up being part of the nature that surrounded him. His first passion was music, and he started to work as a photographer in 2007. Influenced by romantic landscape painters, Lars's main source of inspiration comes from the mysterious encounter of nature and light, and the main theme of his work is trees. These he respectfully depicts in their old power and timeless energy. Lars won the Hasselblad Master Awards in the landscape nature category, and the prestigious Trierenberg Super Circuit, and his work is beloved by collectors all over the world. Helen Mortimer has always loved words. Her last position was at Oxford University Press where she worked for fifteen years and since leaving she has relished having more time to write. Her popular Home Learning educational series Big Words for Little People (OUP), illustrated by Cristina Trapanese, has been followed up with two new series Maths Words for Little People and Science Words for Little People. The follow up title to her first picture book Omar, the Bees and Me is the stunning Enzo the Swallows and Me, both illustrated by Katie Cottle and published by Owlet Press. When not writing, Helen uses her skills as a freelance editor, working for a wide range of publishing clients. She lives in rural Oxfordshire, UK. Gabriella Barouch is an award-winning illustrator, visual explorer, and designer toys and art collector. Since beginning her path as an artist, Gabriella has been fortunate to work with clients such as the French post office, Le Monde newspaper, soft Gallery fashion, Dalton winery, Penguin books, Sabon luxury products, and more. Her debut picture book Maybe written by Kobi Yamada won two gold medals and was translated to over 8 languages around the world.
