How many times have you attended a church or revival service where they passed the plate for an offering? It used to be the norm almost every time such an event took place. And there's nothing wrong with that. It's actually a form of worship, a way to acknowledge all that God has done for us through the redemptive power of His Son, Jesus Christ. As Jesus pointed out, everyone else there that day at the temple gave out of their wealth and abundance. But she gave everything she had, all she had to live on. Let that sink in for a minute. Would you be willing to give everything you have to live on? Would I? The answer is probably, if not, definitely, "No."
