Still Held

A Memoir of Faith, Survival, and Being Carried When Life Falls Apart

What happens when your body fails... your future feels uncertain...

and faith is the only thing you have left to hold onto?

In Still Held, Karla Castillo shares a raw and deeply moving memoir of surviving a stroke, cancer, and ongoing medical treatments-while learning what it truly means to trust God when healing doesn't come quickly or cleanly.

This is not a story of instant miracles or perfect faith.

It is a story of endurance.

Of fear and surrender.

Of discovering that God's presence is often quiet- but never absent.

Through hospital rooms, long recoveries, and unanswered prayers, Still Held explores the tension between suffering and belief, offering hope to those walking through illness, grief, or prolonged hardship.

With honesty and tenderness, Castillo reminds readers that even when life feels fragile and faith feels thin, we are never abandoned.

Still Held is for readers who:

• Are facing chronic illness, medical trauma, or long recoveries
• Are cancer or stroke survivors-or love someone who is
• Are struggling with faith in hard seasons
• Need reassurance that God is still near, even in pain

This book won't promise easy answers.

It offers something deeper:

The assurance that even in the hardest seasons, you are not forgotten.

You are not alone.

You are still held.
