Dr. Naomi Zirkind is the daughter of Rabbi M. Benjamin Silman (of blessed memory) and Mrs. Rachael Silman. Rabbi Silman served as a congregational Rabbi and a rabbinical leader in Minnesota and North Dakota for 25 years. Dr. Zirkind received her Torah education from her parents, from private lessons with Lubavitcher Rabbis, and from a women's seminary in Israel. She earned the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy, all in Electrical Engineering, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Zirkind has written extensively on the insights and benefits of Torah, and her articles have been published in L'Chaim weekly as well as in other periodicals. Dr. Zirkind, who currently works as a researcher in military robotics, has also published several scientific articles. She lives in Morristown, New Jersey with her husband, Rabbi Yaakov Mendel Zirkind, and their children.
