Stricken (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798231529094)

Your medical recovery isn't natural-it's supernatural. And the entity healing you wants something in return.

When night janitor Walter Reed suffers a devastating stroke, losing everything seems like the worst fate possible. Then his estranged brother Arthur dies from an apparent stroke, leaving Walter a Gothic Victorian mansion worth millions-and unknowingly unleashing something ancient and malevolent that had been contained within the estate's walls.

For Walter's children Randy and Melissa, the inheritance offers salvation from financial ruin. Walter's medical costs threaten hundreds of thousands in debt, Randy drowns in student loans, and Melissa struggles as a single mother. Desperate and broke, they move Walter into the estate, hoping the mansion might aid his recovery.

But as the family settles in, a parasitic entity begins restoring Walter's body-feeding on his vulnerability while growing stronger. It doesn't just want Walter. It's using his supernatural recovery as a gateway to claim his entire family, especially five-year-old granddaughter Chelsea.

Stricken blends medical drama with supernatural horror, following a family's desperate fight against financial ruin and ancient evil that exploits their desperation. With his physical limitations making him the perfect vessel, Walter must find strength not in his mysteriously healing body, but in his love for his family-before the entity collects what it believes it's owed.

In this tale where the body's betrayals open doors to possession and recovery twists into a race against evil, the true battle isn't against frailty, but against the loss of one's very humanity.

Perfect for readers of supernatural horror, Gothic thrillers, and medical suspense who crave stories where family bonds become the ultimate weapon against ancient evil.
