Studies In Logical Theory (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9781428644984)

""Studies in Logical Theory"" is a seminal work in the field of philosophy written by the American philosopher John Dewey. The book is a collection of essays that explore the nature of logic, the relationship between logic and empirical inquiry, and the role of logic in the development of scientific knowledge. Dewey argues that logic is not a static set of rules, but rather a dynamic process that is shaped by human experience and inquiry. He also emphasizes the importance of empirical evidence in logical reasoning, and critiques traditional forms of deductive reasoning that fail to take into account the complexities of real-world situations. The book is considered a classic in the field of philosophy, and has had a significant influence on the development of pragmatism and other philosophical movements. It is recommended reading for anyone interested in the history and philosophy of logic, as well as for those interested in the broader implications of logical reasoning for scientific inquiry and human understanding. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
