Sugar Branch is epic in scope. It reminds the reader of two other fine quest novels: Deliverance and Cold Mountain.

Don Morrison is a retired teacher and corporate instructor. He has taught in Indiana schools and in American schools in Korea and Germany. More recently he has done volunteer work locally for the Switzerland County, Indiana, Historical Society and internationally in India and Tanzania.
Morrison has written memoir books, short stories, historical articles and novels. The inspiration for the novel Sugar Branch grew from the history of his family.
Don lives near Knoxville, Tennessee, with his wife, Suzanne.
