She started her career as a teacher, worked at the state level on educational policy issues, and has spent the past seven years directing projects and conducting research related to college and career readiness.

Andrea Venezia is Associate Professor in the Public Policy and Administration Department and Associate Director of the Institute for Higher Education Leadership & Policy at California State University, Sacramento. Her work focuses on improving student readiness for, and success in, some form of postsecondary education, particularly for students who are traditionally underserved.
