Surrealism: The Ultimate Minimalist Diceless Role-play Game System (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798244061895)

It's Time to Up Your Game

Surrealism is a complete, minimalist role-playing system that strips tabletop RPGs down to their most powerful element: storytelling.

Originally developed in 1985-years before "diceless," "rules-light," or "narrative-first" became industry buzzwords -Surrealism was forged by a dedicated group of experienced gamers pushing the boundaries of what role-play could be.

There are no character sheets. No stats. No hit points. No magic systems. No dice.

And once you play it, you won't miss them.

In Surrealism, players play themselves-or anyone. Their real-world skills, instincts, and decisions drive the game forward.
As Gamemaster, you don't manage mechanics-you create the world, portray its people, and respond to the choices your players make.

The result is fast, immersive play where scenes flow naturally, tension builds organically, and the story writes itself.
Surrealism works in any genre-modern, fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, espionage, or something entirely your own. It rewards imagination, improvisation, and emotional investment rather than rules and dice rolls.

If you're ready to go beyond systems that slow the game down-and move into a style of play where the scenarios become a living, breathing story-Surrealism is the game you've been looking for.

Guide Includes: Complete Game System, Initial Starter Module, and Detailed Scenario Walk-through.
