Leslie Jacobs graduated from University of Bridgeport with a degree in journalism and received her master's degree from Wesleyan University. She worked for United Press International, photographing the world's most renowned and influential people. Jacobs then added fundraising to her many skills and spent ten years raising money for various non-profits. In 1999, Jacobs walked into Cousin Sheila's kitchen and opened a cabinet. Tupperware came tumbling out, and Jacobs innocently asked if she could organize these for her.
