Sweet Seasonal Carnage (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9798231757985)

Christmas isn't for me.
Everyone else gets warm fires, presents, and happy faces. Me? I get cold floors, empty plates, and the kind of pain that doesn't go away when the lights turn on.

I'm six, but I've already learned the rules: stay quiet, stay small, stay invisible... or get punished.

They call it family. I call it survival. Beatings, hunger, being ignored, the ordinary things other kids take for granted are my daily lessons in fear. But I watch. I remember. I wait.

This is the beginning of me. The early years that shape the girl who won't forget, who won't forgive, and who will fight back when the world finally gives her the chance.
If you like your holiday stories twisted, your heroes dark, and your psychological crime messy, welcome, My Darkling... this is Vicky's Christmas.
