Syncing Back: Act 2 (Paperback) (ISBN-13: 9780990486176)

Act 2 Description:

Sergeant Agent Amara James returns, desperate to conceal her misdeeds while continuing her quest to save her father. Amara's department scrutinizes every move she makes, her friends see her unraveling, and Millennial raises the stakes with one deadly attack after another.

Then an unexpected ally joins forces with Amara: an artificial intelligence that is able to violate its own programming and operate with impunity. Loyal to her alone, their unlikely friendship threatens to finally bring down Millennial, and unbalance the world in the process.

Series Description:

At nine years old, Amara watched as terrorists destroyed her family. Years later, she is recruited to the Department of Homeland Defense to hunt Millennial: Neo-Luddite terrorists who have evaded capture for over a decade. Her finish line is the destruction of the murderous terrorist group and the recovery of an antidote for her father. To her ranking officers, Amara is on a fast track and deadly efficient in her job. To her team, Amara's obsessions and secrets release chaos into the lives of everyone around her. But nobody truly understands Amara, and how each traumatic mission leaves her increasingly unhinged. Worse, nobody understands how far she is willing to go, and the deadly consequences her choices will rain down upon them all.
