The Tai Chi Classics is a collection of a hundred essays written by the most authoritative past masters on the subject of Tai Chi Chuan, largely intact and passed down through different lineages to the present day. Among those, the most famous and widely studied is the first essay in the collection, the 王宗岳太極拳論 Wang Zongyue Tai Chi Treatise. The mechanics and methods described in the Treatise are universal and not unique to the discipline of Tai Chi. Its principles can be adapted in almost all areas of combat arts. While there are many beautifully translated versions of the Treatise, unless the translator understands, cultivates, and can apply the knowledge in practice, meanings are often lost or misrepresented. It took me a couple of decades of diligent studies to be proficient enough to comment on the Treatise in my own words.

This reference manual is a companion to my workshops on the Wang Zongyue Tai Chi Treatise, which I hold regularly in Australia and internationally. Everything described in the Wang Zongyue Tai Chi Treatise can be applied and explained in practical terms. There is nothing hidden in his writing.
