Born in 1986, John has loved writing (particularly in English) ever since he can remember. What were then called 'compositions' and 'essays' were always his favourite homework. As a youngster he fell in love with short stories by Enid Blyton, and later in his teens got enamoured to Tolkien's middle-earth (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion....) and Anne Rice's vampire chronicles. His latest love was the Song of Ice & Fire saga (more popularly known as Game of Thrones ). Tales from Alrais (originally published in December 2011) was John's first step towards becoming an author. He has also written and published an account of his 1 year experience as a lay missionary in Taiwan. His ambition to become a famed author is growing, and he is currently writing a novel to be published on local shelves by the end of 2015. He intends the novel to touch the mind and hearts of many Maltese.
