In 2011, Cherielle was attending the Leather History Conference where the Carter/Johnson Leather Library was on display. She was looking at a book that had been created full of stories by Leather Women. Being a bootblack who adores history, Cherielle decided that there needed to be a book like that, but with stories by and about bootblacks. Tales From The Chair is the result of that fateful day. In these pages the reader will read about brand new bootblacks discovering their passion, titleholders sharing their journey, and even some experiences with bootblacks by non bootblacks. Cherielle is a bifem bootblack living in Arizona with her life partner and two dogs, Peanut and Chloe. Cherielle is active in her local community as an educator, bootblack, and volunteer. Cherielle's passion includes teaching others about the art of bootblacking, various lifestyle topics, and sharing her love of crafts. She came up with the idea for this project while attending a conference that focused on Leather history, and has spent two years collecting the stories you will enjoy.
